About Me

My name is Neal Brown. I started publishing my music under the name Amneajynx about 2 years ago. Pronounced (am-knee-uh-jinks) .

I've been a singer/songwriter since I was about 13/14, that was when I officially had a band and sang in front of crowds. I grew up in Apalachin, New York (yes that's the way it's spelled -- a pal, a chin). Since then, I've played in a number of bands. Some with more success than others. Some that were far more enjoyable and others with the kind of snide egos that make you want to punch them in their faces, then punch yourself in the face for agreeing to join them. Hey, you never know until you try right?

Here is a small group of bands I've played in, always as a writer and usually as a guitar player and vocalist, sometimes a bass player:

• Dolly Cult/Drunk Dead Gorgeous

• Eatus Fetus

There are many more, but to me, those were the groups that are a part of me. The people who made up those groups were special. Whether I was the one writing the music/lyrics or I was sharing those duties; the combination of musicians made each one of those groups stand out. In my head and heart they can't be duplicated and I would never try. With that in mind, Amneajynx is the first time I've publicly pushed music that I'm 100% responsible for. Whether people love it or hate it. It's me, it's my therapy.

This will not be a one time thing. I will be pushing regular releases (the amount of work I have stored up is well into the 300s). Some complete, some 3/4 complete.
